This has been one of my go-to smoothies this fall. I love adding citrus during fall/winter to help brighten up my food and get some extra vitamin C to support my immune system. Nothing beats a smoothie packed full of superfoods to help stack your immune system during flu season!
Ingredients:
1 C spinach
1/2 an organic lime (including peel)
1/2 an organic lemon (including peel)
1/4 C frozen avocado
1/3 C frozen zucchini or cauliflower
1 slice fresh or frozen ginger root
1 slice of fresh or frozen turmeric root
1 tsp spirulina powder
1 Tbsp vanilla protein powder
Handful of fresh Cilantro
Handful fresh parsley
3 drops liquid stevia (optional)
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 C of filtered water
Directions:
Add all ingredients into a high-speed blender, mix until smooth. If you prefer a thicker consistency, add less water.
Poor into a reusable glass jar and enjoy any time of day.
